Palma Lock is located inside Vista Cana at the La Nube Shopping Center. We are approximately 15 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), 20 minutes from the Bavaro Beach hotel zone, and 25 minutes from Cap Cana. Our central location makes us easy to reach from anywhere in the Punta Cana area.
What are your hours of operation?+
Palma Lock operates daily to accommodate travelers on all flight schedules. Our standard hours cover early morning drop-offs through late evening pickups. For specific hours or to arrange an off-hours drop-off, contact our team when booking or reach out via WhatsApp.
How much does luggage storage cost?+
Luggage storage at Palma Lock starts at $5 per bag per day. There are no hidden fees — the price includes secure storage, individual bag tagging, photo documentation, insurance coverage, and 24/7 security monitoring. Multi-day storage is calculated at the same daily rate per bag.
Is there a limit on bag size or weight?+
No. We accept luggage of all sizes and weights — suitcases, carry-ons, duffel bags, backpacks, and oversized items. Each bag receives its own unique TAG# security code regardless of size. If you have an unusually large or heavy item, just let us know when booking so we can prepare the right storage space.
Can I store items other than luggage (surfboards, golf clubs, strollers)?+
Yes. We store surfboards, golf bags, dive equipment, strollers, car seats, and other oversized items. These are handled with the same security protocols as regular luggage — tagged, photographed, insured, and stored under surveillance. Mention specialty items when booking so we can allocate appropriate space.
How long can I store my luggage?+
You can store your luggage for as long as you need — a few hours between checkout and your flight, a full day while you explore, or multiple days if you are traveling around the Dominican Republic. Multi-day pricing is calculated at $5 per bag per day, and your bags remain fully secured the entire duration.
Booking & Payment
How do I book luggage storage?+
Book online at palmalock.com in under 2 minutes. Select your drop-off date, number of bags, and preferred time. You will receive a confirmation with your reservation number (PL-XXXX format) and a QR code. You can also book in person at our La Nube location, but we recommend booking online to guarantee availability.
Can I book same-day storage?+
Yes, same-day bookings are available subject to capacity. We recommend booking as early as possible to guarantee your spot, especially during peak travel season (December through April). If you need last-minute storage, book online or contact us via WhatsApp for immediate availability confirmation.
What payment methods do you accept?+
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure online payment system powered by Stripe. Payment is processed at the time of booking. We do not currently accept cash payments for online reservations.
Can I modify or cancel my reservation?+
Yes. You can modify your reservation details (number of bags, pickup time) or cancel your booking through our website. Cancellation policies and any applicable refund windows are displayed during the booking process. For urgent changes, contact our team directly.
Do I need to print anything?+
No. Everything is digital. When you arrive, simply show your confirmation QR code or provide your reservation number (PL-XXXX). Our staff will pull up your booking instantly. You can access your confirmation from your email or our booking lookup page.

Is my luggage safe at Palma Lock?+
Absolutely. Security is the foundation of our service. Every bag is individually tagged with a unique TAG# security code, photographed at check-in, and stored in a professionally staffed facility with 24/7 camera surveillance. We maintain a complete digital chain-of-custody record for every item. No bag is released without verified identity confirmation matching your reservation.
What is the TAG# system?+
Every piece of luggage checked into Palma Lock receives a unique TAG# code (e.g., TAG#0001) that is physically attached to your bag and digitally linked to your reservation. This tag tracks your bag from check-in through storage to release. It is part of our chain-of-custody system — no bag can be released without the TAG# matching the reservation and verified identity of the person picking up.
Do you have insurance coverage?+
Yes. Every bag stored at Palma Lock is automatically covered by our insurance policy at no extra charge. Coverage is active from the moment your luggage is tagged at check-in until the moment it is released at checkout. The insurance covers loss and damage during the storage period.
Are there security cameras?+
Yes. Our entire storage facility is monitored 24/7 by security cameras covering every angle of the storage area. Camera footage is retained and available for review if any issue arises. Our facility is also professionally staffed at all times during operating hours.
What happens if something is damaged or lost?+
In the unlikely event of damage or loss, our team opens a formal case immediately. Every case is tracked with a case number, assigned to a staff member, and subject to a 48-hour resolution SLA. Our insurance policy covers stored items, and we work quickly to reach a fair resolution. You will be kept informed at every step of the process.
Check-in & Check-out
What does the check-in process look like?+
Check-in takes about 2 minutes. Arrive at our La Nube location, show your QR code or reservation number, and our concierge team takes it from there. We tag each bag with a unique TAG# code, photograph every item for documentation, and secure them in our monitored storage area. You receive confirmation and are free to go.
Do you photograph my bags?+
Yes. We photograph every bag at check-in and again at check-out, creating a timestamped visual record of your belongings and their condition. This protects both you and us — it provides complete transparency and documentation from drop-off to pickup. Photos are linked to your reservation record.
Can someone else pick up my luggage?+
For security purposes, we require identity verification at pickup that matches the reservation. If someone else needs to collect your bags, contact our team in advance to arrange authorized pickup. We will need the authorized person's name and identification details. This policy exists to protect your belongings.
What if I am late for pickup?+
No problem. If your plans change and you need to pick up later than scheduled, just let us know. Your bags remain secure in our facility. If your pickup extends into an additional day, standard daily rates apply. We understand travel schedules shift — flexibility is part of our service.

How far is Palma Lock from PUJ Airport?+
Palma Lock is approximately 15 minutes by car from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). We are located at La Nube Shopping Center in Vista Cana, directly off the Blvd Turistico del Este — the main highway connecting the airport to the Bavaro hotel zone.
How far from Bavaro Beach hotels?+
We are approximately 20 minutes from the Bavaro Beach hotel zone. Whether you are staying at Hard Rock, Barcelo, Melia, Iberostar, or any of the Bavaro resorts, Palma Lock is a quick ride south past Cocotal Golf & Country Club.
How far from Cap Cana?+
Cap Cana is approximately 25 minutes north of our location. If you are staying at any Cap Cana resort or residence (Sanctuary, Eden Roc, Juanillo), you can easily drop your bags at Palma Lock on your way to the airport or while exploring Vista Cana.
Do you offer airport transfers?+
Yes. We coordinate trusted transportation to and from PUJ Airport with vetted local drivers. Our team handles timing and logistics so your bag storage and airport arrival are seamlessly connected. Request a transfer when booking or contact us to arrange one separately.
Is there parking at Palma Lock?+
Yes. La Nube Shopping Center at Vista Cana has free parking available. If you are driving a rental car, you can park, drop your bags, and return later to pick them up before heading to the airport or your next destination.
About Punta Cana
Does Punta Cana Airport have luggage storage?+
No. Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) does not have a luggage storage facility. There are no lockers, no storage counters, and no left-luggage service inside the airport. Can my hotel store my bags after checkout?+
